Four Tar Heels need to step up

The North Carolina Tar Heels are coming off a disappointing season in which they finished 14-19 and missed the NCAA Tournament. There are a number of reasons for the Tar Heels' struggles, but one of the biggest issues was a lack of production from their young players.

Several Tar Heels need to step up next season if the team is going to improve. Here are four players who need to show improvement:

1. Caleb Love: Love was a highly-touted recruit, but he struggled to live up to expectations as a freshman. He shot just 33% from the field and averaged more turnovers than assists. Love needs to improve his shooting and decision-making if he wants to be a star for the Tar Heels.
2. Armando Bacot: Bacot was one of the few bright spots for the Tar Heels last season, but he still needs to improve his consistency. He is a good rebounder and defender, but he needs to be more efficient on offense. Bacot needs to improve his footwork and finishing ability if he wants to be a dominant force in the ACC.
3. RJ Davis: Davis is a talented guard, but he needs to become more consistent. He is a good shooter and passer, but he can be turnover-prone at times. Davis needs to improve his decision-making and ball-handling if he wants to be a leader for the Tar Heels.
4. Leaky Black: Black is a versatile forward, but he needs to become more productive. He is a good defender and rebounder, but he needs to be more consistent on offense. Black needs to improve his shot selection and finishing ability if he wants to be a key contributor for the Tar Heels.

If these four players can step up next season, the Tar Heels have the potential to be a much better team. They have a lot of talent, but they need to find a way to put it all together. If they can do that, they could be a contender in the ACC.
