Brandon Fellows Faces 3 Years Behind Bars

Former Chimney Repairman Sentenced to Prison for Obstruction of Justice

Brandon Fellows Faces 3 Years Behind Bars

3-Year Sentence Meted Out for Obstruction Charge

Brandon Fellows, a 29-year-old former chimney repairman and tree cutter, has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for obstruction of justice.

Fellows has been in custody since June 2021 on a federal felony charge. A federal jury found him guilty on Thursday for his role in obstructing justice during a federal investigation.

The sentencing came about six months after a federal jury in Albany, New York, found Fellows guilty of obstructing justice. The charge stemmed from an investigation into a drug trafficking ring that operated in the Capital Region.

Fellows played a minor role in the drug ring, but he lied to investigators about his involvement and destroyed evidence. As a result, he was charged with obstruction of justice.

U.S. District Judge Mae D'Agostino sentenced Fellows to 3 years in prison and 3 years of supervised release. Fellows will also have to pay a $10,000 fine.
