Boeing's Starliner Astronaut Mission to Launch Early May 2024

Starliner Set for Liftoff on May 19, 2024

Launch Preparations Begin 45 Days Prior

In a significant milestone for Boeing and NASA, the Starliner spacecraft is scheduled to embark on its first astronaut mission as early as May 6, 2024. This critical test flight aims to demonstrate the spacecraft's capabilities and pave the way for operational missions. The Starliner will launch aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force.

Preparations for the launch campaign will commence 45 days prior to liftoff, with United Launch Alliance initiating the stacking of an Atlas V rocket at Space Launch Complex 41. If all systems check out, the Atlas V rocket carrying the Starliner capsule will lift off at 12:25 pm Eastern time on Saturday, May 19, 2024.

Boeing's Starliner capsule, perched atop the Atlas V rocket, was seen on the launchpad during sunrise ahead of the launch attempt. This marks a significant step forward for Boeing in its pursuit of developing a reliable and safe human spacecraft for future NASA missions.
