Season Highlights

The 2019 season was a tough one for the Pittsburgh Pirates, who finished with a record of 69-93 and finished 5th in the NL Central. However, there were some bright spots throughout the season. * Bryan Reynolds emerged as a star, batting .314 with 16 home runs and 68 RBIs. * Starling Marte continued to be a force at the top of the lineup, batting .295 with 12 home runs and 65 RBIs. * Jameson Taillon returned from injury and pitched well, going 11-11 with a 3.88 ERA.

Looking Ahead

The Pirates have a lot of work to do this offseason if they want to contend in 2020. They need to add some more depth to their roster, both in the lineup and in the bullpen. They also need to find a way to get more production from their starting pitchers. If the Pirates can make some key additions this offseason, they have the potential to be a surprise team in 2020. They have a lot of young talent on their roster, and they're just a few pieces away from being a contender.
