The UEFA Champions League 2024/25 qualifying phase and play-off round will kick off on July 9, 2024, concluding on August 28, 2024. The competition will feature between 52 and 54 teams, divided into two paths: Champions Path and League Path.
The Champions Path will include 42 or 43 teams, while the League Path will have 10 or 11 teams. The seven winners of the play-off round will qualify for the Champions League group stage.
This year's Champions League format will introduce a new 36-team league phase, replacing the traditional group stage. All 36 teams will compete in a single league format, with the top 16 teams qualifying for the knockout stage.
