Inter Milan's Title March Stalled by Napoli
Reigning Champions Hold Inter to Draw
Unbeaten Streak Ends
Inter Milan's relentless march towards a historic 20th Serie A title was halted on Sunday when reigning champions Napoli held them to a 1-1 draw. The result snapped Inter's unbeaten streak at 19 games and opened the door for other teams to close the gap in the title race.
Inter opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Lautaro Martinez, but Napoli equalized shortly after the hour mark thanks to a strike from Piotr Zielinski. Despite a late push from Inter, Napoli held firm to earn a valuable point.
The draw leaves Inter in pole position with 19 wins from 20 games, but Napoli are now just four points behind in second place. AC Milan and Juventus are also in the title hunt, with 16 and 13 wins respectively.
